Our Services Include
- Product evaluation for manufacturability
- 3D Printing (Additive Manufacturing)
- CNC Machining (milling, turning)
- Cast Urethane
- Rapid Injection Molding
The term ‘rapid manufacturing’ is an expansive term that includes all of the above processes along with the multiple technologies that help create the optimal and desired outcome in the shortest possible production time.
There are important differences to note between prototyping and rapid manufacturing. Rapid manufacturing requires a high degree of attention to quality, and product repeatability. Rapid manufacturing also has higher, more strict requirements of production applications. Xcentric is proud to be one of the few rapid manufactures in the country.
Xcentric’s team has offered Rapid Manufacturing services for more than two decades, giving us substantial experience to help our customers select the right process or combination of processes to meet their project objectives. Moreover Xcentric has developed highly advanced manufacturing systems to shorten the production cycle to the extreme. It is precisely our experience and systems that allow us to quickly converge on solutions, reduce process variability, and repeatedly deliver to very compressed schedules.
Consider the following chart when deciding which Rapid Manufacturing service is best for your project:
Process Type | Function | Fit | Testing | Proof of concept | Tolerance <.005 in | Visual Quality | Plastic Material Selection | Metal Material Selection | Per Piece Price | Tooling Cost | Tooling Life Expectancy |
